Unfortunately you were unsuccessful on your test, but dont worry. Let's go through your options below:
Being unsuccessful is not the end of the road, in fact the yearly pass rate in the UK sits at around 45%. Try not to be too upset about it. A positive outlook is important.
You will receive an email from the DVSA with the full result of your driving test. It will show the serious or dangerous faults (which cause you to fail your test) and the Driving faults which are little mistakes, and likely not the cause of you being unsuccessful. Please forward this to your instructor, either screenshot and whatsapp or iMessage, or forward the email to mailto:contact@learntodriveandy.co.uk .
Have a look and try to reflect on the result. Was it just an unlucky mistake, or something which you need to work on? Did you change the way your drive, concentration or something else. It is important to reflect and stay in touch with your instructor.
What are the options:
You can simply choose to continue, or take a break, please let me know what you would like to do, this is important in order to plan.
Continuing:
If you wish to continue, the lessons will continue as normal. It is understandable, if you would like to take a week or two off, but get straight back into it. Book another test, search for a cancellation, and work on the faults or issues in order to be more prepared for your next test.
Having now experienced a test, you will know exactly what a test is like, and what to expect, so this should put you in a better position for your next attempt.
Taking a break:
If you wish to take a break or it isn't practical to continue lessons at the moment, this is absolutlely ok. Not everyone can continue. Please let me know, to plan ahead. It is important to note that if you take a break, I will not be able to keep your slot free indefinitely, and so it would be of the understanding, that if you are ready to resume, you may have to wait until I can fit you back in to the diary. As a current customer, I will prioritise you, but you may need to wait.
Please take a look at the link below, it is the DVSA Ready to pass campaign, and contains useful information about the driving test.
Once again, please stay in touch and let me know what you wish to do.
I look forward to hearing from you again soon,
All the best,
Andy
